Our 'G-Fin' Staircase Design

Over the years we have developed, tested and perfected our 'G-Fin' staircase. We have designed this range to work with different treads including glass, solid timber and stone.

The 'G-Fin' system is very versatile and can be incorporated into a spiral, straight or helical staircase depending on your requirements. Take a look at some designs below.

Paddington Library - Completed Images

This recently completed Part M compliant horse-shoe shaped straight staircase provides access between two levels in a library in Paddington.

It is constructed mainly in satin polished stainless steel with etched glass balustrading for modesty and European oak treads and risers.

The unique tread design features an L.E.D strip recessed in the nosing which floods light upon the tread below. This detail works well with the opaque glass balustrade, giving the staircase a warm "glow".

The Completed Magnolia Barn Staircase

Following up on our recent posts showing the Preview Sketches and Preview Renderings for the new Magnolia Barn staircase, we can now present photos of the completed stair!

b2ap3_thumbnail_DSCF2588-copy.jpg

This staircase eschews metal stringers in favour of support from glass panels suspended from the upper level. Solid Oak treads and toughened glass risers combine to make an extremely stiff and structurally sound staircase. The strength of the staircase has made it possible to omit the internal balustrade entirely, adding to the stairs dramatic impact.
